The University of Perpetual Help System Dalta (UPHSD) is a private, Catholic-oriented university in the Philippines that was established in 1975. It is a popular option for international students, particularly those from India, seeking an English-medium medical education at an affordable cost. The main campus is located in Las Piñas City within Metro Manila, with other campuses in Molino and Calamba.

Medical programs

The university’s American-based curriculum offers a BS + MD program that is equivalent to an MBBS in India and other Commonwealth countries.

  • Program structure: The program has two main parts:

    • MD program: A four-year course covering advanced medical and clinical training.
  • Total duration: The complete program typically spans 5.5 to 6 years, including a clinical internship.
  • Clinical experience: Students gain hands-on clinical experience at the affiliated, on-campus University of Perpetual Help Dalta Medical Center, a 300+ bed hospital, as well as at other partner hospitals.

Recognition and reputation
